    Hi all,

    I found some teeth fossils from Miocene/Pliocene Siwaliks and they probably are hypsodont type but i cant’t figure it out that which species they belong.. i hope there will be someone who can tell me.. sorry for the english.

    Hi, @muhammad-usman!  Interesting find!  Perhaps @smoran, @sholte, or @dmitchell could help with the ID.  I am curious — when you say Siwaliks, are you talking about the Himalyas?  (Very cool if so!)

    Any thoughts, @bmacfadden or @rleder?

    Sorry @muhammad-usman not sure I’m going to be of much help here either. I’m pretty confident saying it’s a fragment of a mammal lower jaw bone with two roots still in the mandible. Unfortunately, without the crown of the teeth preserved I’m not familiar enough with fossils from the Siwaliks to go much further than that.
