    Hi, Could someone please tell me what kind of sharks tooth this is? I got it off a guy at the side of the road in Morocco (North Africa). My son is really into fossils, and this would really be great if we could find out what it is.

    Hi Nathan,

    This tooth is from an extinct mackerel shark, Otodus obliquus. It is likely around 60 million years old and is the ancestor of the popular megatooth shark, Otodus megalodon.
