1 year, 9 months ago1 year, 9 months agoHey,
Found this while digging up a flowerbed in my garden. I did a little research and it keeps coming back to petrified wood fossil.
If anyone has any idea what it could be, just leave a comment.
Thanks!

Hey @kyle-bartlett this is unfortunately not petrified wood. However, it is a sedimentary rock with the lines representing layers of sediments laid down over time. Nice find!

1 year, 10 months ago1 year, 10 months agoSecond photo of possible Petrified wood. both end parts have multiple faint parallel curved lines, one side is very smooth to the touch and has portions where there are faint grain lines with a mid section of light brown, surrounded by light grey, the back side of the above photo positioning has a bumpy but smooth feel and grains that look like…[Read more]

1 year, 10 months ago1 year, 10 months agoFound this while digging in my Garden. Location: Eastern Canada.
My research attempts came back as a petrified wood fossil. I was intrigued by the shape and size of it as it looks like a 1 1/2 Foot long piece of cleaved wood.
does anyone know if it’s actually petrified wood?#fossil-
Might be an impression of wood or something on that one side, but the piece itself doesn’t appear to be wood. Is there any indication of grain or growth rings anywhere else on it?
