3 years, 2 months ago3 years, 2 months agoThank you @nathan-newell. You were correct. Rafinesquina is an extinct genus of large brachiopod that existed from the Darriwilian to the Ludlow epoch. The genus was named in honor of polymath Constantine Samuel Rafinesque.

3 years, 4 months ago3 years, 4 months agoGreetings @robert-knisel ! This looks like Lookout Sandstone. There are some characteristics that resemble small coral structures, but it’s not definitive. @j-bauer and @nathan-newell may be able to determine if it’s a fossil or rock.
