Does anyone know what this is? I can’t tell if it is a fossil or a really weird rock. It doesn’t really look much like a plant or animal that I can think of. It was found by a creek surrounded by bluffs in Faulkner county, Arkansas and the part of the state it was found in is not known for very significant fossils mainly small things so I can’t tell what it might be. It’s hard to see but it has a line imbedded in the middle running parallel to the line on the left. The small craters around it are from me trying to remove rock around it with an engraver but I stopped to not damage it. On the other side of the rock is a large reddish brown rock more solid than the sand stone it’s embedded in. I’ve had the rock for a couple years and have always wondered what it might be.
