Looks like some slate with lines going through it it’s just the patterning or type
What are the lines? What was more of the original question.
Ok here’s the more detailed information: Often those white bands or stripes, called veins, are quartz or calcite. The quartz filled the fissures or cracks in rocks. The calcite was formed from the precipitation of calcium carbonate from water running over and through the rocks- i found that answer online. It can also be used in fish tanks as decorative pieces for aquascaping!
