2 years, 7 months ago2 years, 7 months agoWe are taking a swing in the dark and my daughter is hoping she found a bone possibly from the Cretaceous period. Please any help is greatly appreciated. Keep in mind she is 6 and will be reading your comments(with my supervision) for knowledge as she plans to be a paleontologist in the future. She found this on our property in southern Michigan. #fossil #collectionsite
go to macrostrat.org and click geologic map. with a little playing around you can find your house and the age of the rock. or get the rockd app and see what it says. For this I don’t really see bone, but there are folks more expert on the area than I am. some kind of scale reference would help with id
