    Another angle of tooth , and a price of coral branch

    • Both look like agate, though it’s possible the one on the right could be a limb cast, which is a kind of fossil. Where (city/state) did you find it?

    • Post more pictures of the “coral”. Looks like that might be a possibility, but I don’t see any detail that makes me think it is. Also get the rockd app for your phone, when you collect something use the app to tell you the formation/age of the area. Will help a ton determining what you are getting.

    • if you want a good guide to collecting fossils and rocks get the rockhounding new mexico falcon guide. Always get the most recent (2021) edition so you have better chances of the places still being open and legal. The only place I could find a copy a few weeks back was Treasure House Books in old town. Everyone else has the old edition (which is probably available free in a library, and likely to be ok as a guide if you double-check any signage on your way in to a site). I got some great petrified wood and gorgeous shells from spots in the book.
