oh man. Ignore all the comments in this but Bill. At nest this is a cast of something invertebrate. No bones, no scute. There are a lot of shells that have these kind of ridgy patterns, but it can be hard to identify casts and it is very worn. Unfortunately there’s no vetting for comments here, and folks throw around wild ideas. I have spent several years volunteering with a university picking up turtle bits and a whole lot of “spines” so I rule those out.
