Creeker find. Any ideas?
A rock with holes
nice rock
I am a rock hound. Just wondering what causes this.
@charlotte-pertuset Holes can be secondary and created by weathering. Holes in beach pebbles are created by burrowing mollusk. Primary holes are created simultaneously with the volcanic rock formation because of the gas bubbles trapped during lava solidification. Rocks with natural occurring holes are called Hag stones/ Holy stones and are collected for jewellery. Hope this helps😊
you good
I know, Pamela-fabrick is a pro at this👍
I learned much with this post & find. Thank you
Yes! Thank you!
Just a rock 🪨
@pamela-fabrick thank you so much. That helped me out 100% I’m quite new to this app and should have explained my query better. @catherine-fean there’s no such thing as “just a rock”😅
@charlotte-pertuset I’m also a rock hound, so I get it😊 I’m absolutely glad I could help!!
@charlotte-pettiest my nephew was manning this app over the weekend so I apologise for his bluntness! I tend to agree, no such thing as just a rock!! Happy hunting xx
@catherine-fean its all good my friend. Happy hunting to you too
hag stones, awesome find
@selena-mattioli i have shelves of hag stones of various sizes from pea size to dinner plate size. I was curious as to what could have caused this particular rock with sooooo many spots.
