Not a tooth, mineral perhaps?
@bill-heim It passed the lick test; definitely bone from feel, weight, etc.
The new image of the reverse side with the scale does indicate that it is a tooth, some kind of land animal.
efalquet on iNaturalist said this, and it might help with ID: “ I have asked some paleontologists at the Academy of Natural Sciences, and they think it is possibly part of an upper canine of a herbivore. The main suspects are a “modern” pig (couple of hundred years old) or ice age Tapir, but they aren’t super confident.”
