Devin Kent has contributed specimen mFeM 128560 to myFOSSIL!

    • Lovely shreds of plant remains, unfortunately identifying them beyond that will be difficult! If you want me to mark it research grade you need to fill out the classification, lithstratigraphy, and geochronology fields. Let me know if you have any questions or if you’ve filled them out by tagging me. Thanks and nice finds!

    • Thank you @mason-hintermeister … I will try to get the info from the location info from the Rockd app but I failed to get the screen shot. Other than that the rest is a bit over my head.

    • @devin-kent If you can get the formation or group I’ll fill out the rest for you this time!

    • @mason-hintermeister according to Rockd and where I physically found the material (cut out wall behind commercial property) this is the Indian Bluff Formation and the Pennsylvanian/ Morrowan Age. The approximate x, y, z coordinates are -84.2409, 36.3849, 698 m / 2290 ft. Hopefully that helps. I wish I would have looked there longer as there was a lot of material but I only picked through it for 10 minutes or so as I passed through.
