Any clue of what this could be? Found in the Pembina River in North Dakota.
The rendezvous region has marine deposits from 90-80 million years ago (Cretaceous period). There’s been various fossils found there such as fish, plesiosaurs, turtles, and even a flightless bird that lived similarly to a penguin. I’m not sure what your bone is from but local finds are a good start.
It is a toe bone or cannon bone of a herbivore
Thank you for the responses. After looking online we are leaning toward cow bone.
I was exciting to think maybe it came from a dinosaur for a bit, though!
