Maybe a piece of horn coral?

This is indeed a horn coral! Nice find. In order to make this research grade, you will have to complete a few extra steps. First, you will have to put Rugosa into the Taxon Wizard in the classification section. Next, you can put in the approximate location of the find (nearest town or city will do). Last, look at your location on a geologic map. I reccomend Rockd, its a free app/website which uses google maps to tell you the age and type of rock in any given place. You can use that to fill out the geochronology and lithostratigraphy sections. Let me know if you have any problems or questions! Also, tag me when you finish.
