I’m just a hobbyist, but I think that could be a Megalodon shark tooth
also looks like a t-rex tooth at this addy: https://www.fossilera.com/fossils/great-1-28-tyrannosaurus-rex-t-rex-tooth-tip
I thought it might be a shark/Megalodon tooth but it seems too conical. More like a crocodile tooth. I’m the first to say I am NO expert. Lol
Unfortunately I think it’s just a rock that is shaped like a tooth. Teeth fossils have different layers (root, enamel, center) and will be mineralized with a different color and sheen than the rocks around it. Also predator teeth would have some kind of serrated edge. Keep looking for specific shapes, colors, and patterns and you’ll find great fossils!
It’s definitely a tooth. It DOES have dentition through the center, it sticks slightly to the tongue and it’s shape is undeniable. It IS free of serration. Instead the entire tooth is conical like a crocodile, alligator or possibly a carnivorous dinosaur. I have never thought it was a shark’s tooth myself. It just doesn’t fit. I’ll post more pics when I can figure out how so you all may see them. Thanks
It’s a toe bone.
Or point of a hoof
