I know research is likely the last thing on a teacher’s mind when she or he is designing or implementing a complex lesson in the middle of the semester, but I thought I’d share with you the following. The qualitative research we conducted in Spring 2017 in Mayra Cordero’s class in Gainesville resulted in a proposal for AERA, American Educational Research Association. The paper was just accepted for presentation at AERA’s annual conference in New York in Spring 2018. This is arguably the top educational research conference in the world. So, the sky is the limit and if you would like to work with us on a project like this, please let us know!

Antonenko, P., Cordero, M., Grant, C., Luo, W., MacFadden, B., Perez, V., Pirlo, J., Tsai, M.-C. & Arslantas, T.K. (2018). Facilitating middle schoolers’ STEM identity development with 3D scanning and printing technologies used by paleontologists. To be presented at the 2018 Conference of the American Educational Research Association. New York, NY.
