I just completed my first draft of a one hour lecture on the “Ancient History of Dogs” over this past winter. Last year I completed “Ancient History of Horses”. Both talks were intended as public interest talks designed to pass on the magic of the of the ancient history of domestic animals, with emphasis on North America through the Cenozoic. I delivered my horse talk to the local SPCA last summer to educate both their staff and also the youth of their summer camp program. Who knows, these talk may one day lead some youngsters to enter the field.
