Gary provided a couple of resources to provide some background info on the stratigraphy that you’ll be looking at while in NM.  I’ve attached them to this group (See above tab named “Files”).  The two papers are a bit technical, but they can provide some background.  The first paper is Bruce’s dissertation, on the same strat group you’ll be working in, the second is a paper that Scott and Gary authored on some of the locations you’ll be visiting while in NM.  I’ve also included a plate of images showing the fossils that were collected in the area that you’ll be working in.  Feel free to look through and ask any questions both within this group, as well as during the webinar, and while in the field.

You should all have received your flight information for your upcoming trip.  There will be two groups leaving from the ABQ airport.  The first group will be lead by Steph and will be taking a rental from the airport to the Mission.  The second group will go with Gary in a rented SUV from the airport to the Mission.  I will provide a travel schedule in the next few days with more detailed information.  I will also be sending out a general packing list of things to bring, as well as a general trip agenda, and meal planning.
