Thanks Sarah. Well, it’s definitely not mammoth. Because these rocks have been removed from their original context (quarry) it’s hard to say much about them. Could still be a stromatilite but perhaps maybe the impression/or mold of an amonite or other cephalopod. It seems 3D so perhaps the mold but without knowledge of where this was originally from it’s hard to tell. There is always the chance thought that someone else might recognize where it is from/or maybe they have seen enough partial material that they can piece it back (mentally).
