If you are in the Wilmington, NC area, you can rent a kayak out to these spoil islands and find all kinds of fossils. Just be sure to check your tide chart first! #fossil #collectionsite
What a big mouth!!! Usually, photos of echinoids are taken with the petal like side facing up. A certain petal (termed A) is also supposed to be pointing toward the top of the photo. Maybe I can find a guide to post in the echinoderm group…
Thanks for the feedback! The other side of the specimen is pretty worn, so no petals in sight. I would love to read the guide for posting future echinoid finds!
