5 years, 4 months ago5 years, 4 months agoI don’t like to Photoshop my fossil pics (beyond maybe adjusting the exposure) because I don’t want to unrealistically distort the images; I want the fossils to speak for themselves. But I thought the pinhole filter in Photoshop Express did some really interesting things with the textures in this photo, so I guess there are exceptions to the rule. 😁 #fossil
Definitely! Looks awesome! Sometimes playing around with exposure, brightness, and a few other misc. tools really make specific features pop that you didn’t see before. I’ve also dabbled with under water photography- super helpful for seeing plate boundaries in echinoderms but bubbles are your enemy!!!
@jbauer Thanks! So with your underwater photography, do you put the camera in the water too? This sounds like something I might try. 😁
Haha! No, just the specimen is submerged. Usually just in a small tin or Tupperware.
