15 million year old Felipeda bottjeri (fossil cat track ichnotaxon) from the Barstow Formation of California. You can tell it’s a feline because of the round pads. If it were a canine, the toe pads would be pointy because of their claws. Cats retract their claws when not in use. Sending this and other cool Barstow tracks off for a new exhibition at the Museum of the Coastal Bend in Texas! #fossil
