Ontogeny is the study of how organisms grow, a good example of this can be seen recorded in our photo albums (ourselves). And phylogeny is the evolutionary history of a group of organisms. There is definitely technical language that may require a glossary but a good read!
Jen, your idea to start this group was a good one. It is reassuring that people are still interested in reading good books on the various aspects of paleontology.
@jkallmeyer – Thanks! It was definitely one of my better group ideas, it’s been really successful so far. I also thought it might be a good way to get interested people to post that might not have as many fossils as we do!
