@smoran or jeanette-pirlo, any thoughts? Looks horse like to me but also kind of flattened and worn.
Yep! It’s a lower horse tooth. It’s a little trickier to tell the age of it, but Miocene or Pliocene seems likely.
I agree with Sean on the ID but he def knows better on the age
Hi, @rita-klein – from what these mammal experts say we can update your classification and geochronology sections a bit. Kingdom Animalia > Phylum Chordata > Class Mammalia > Order Perissodactyla > Family Equidae > Genus Equus. Eon Phanerozoic > Era Cenozoic. Let me know if you need any more help, Jen
