@i-edwards The more I read about graptolites, the cooler they are. Thanks for the ID tip, I’ll check out my fossils and see if Diplacanthograptus is a match.
@i-edwards Well, this is a great place for expanding your paleo knowledge! I’m just an amateur, and myFOSSIL has helped me out a lot.
@i-edwards Phew! Okay, I did some research, and this is what I found…
The rocks that I found these in are Middle Ordovician in Virginia. That seems to rule out Diplacanthograptus because it shows up in Late Ordovician rocks, and I don’t think Diplacanthograptus has been found in Virginia:

I think I’ll go with Climacograptus because it’s been reportedly found in this area, the morphology is similar, and the age seems to match up. If you have any other suggestions, though, I’m all ears. 🙂 Thanks again!
