Activity

While I am not sure about the details of this fossil, it appears to be some sort of dragonfly relative. Based on the preservation and the sedimentary matrix, it looks to be from the Green River Formation. Since this is a NPS photo, it is probably from Fossil Butte, which is a unit of the National Park Service that preserves part of the Fossil Lake section of the Green River Formation in southwestern, Wyoming.
