Odontaspis reticulata (The enamel on the labial side has a major overhang over the root which Carcharias lacks to any major degree).
Your previous comment now makes sense. I’m going through these in reverse chronological order. In the recent review of the sharks of Calvert Cliffs, Bretton Kent (@bkent) refers to Carcharias reticulatus. Is that equivalent to Odontaspis reticulata?
yes, the modern equivalent would be Odontaspis noronhai which has very similar teeth. See: http://www.elasmo.com/selachin/slides/ss_dentition.html?sp=sharks. Bourdon took an extensive look at the two genera (unpublished) and the labial enamel overhang was very prominent in Odontaspis. The difference is particularly noticeable beneath the cusplets.
