@vperez, interesting specimen. Do you remember more information about the locality? Forgive my turtle anatomy ignorance, but where on the turtle would this be from?

Unfortunately, this specimen came from the giveaways so I don’t know much about it. We used it during a GSA workshop to teach people how to use myFOSSIL. I still have the specimen though! I’m pretty sure it is a part of the carapace, called a pleural.
