Hi, @matthew-croxton – For trace fossils, we are suggesting users put Ichnofossil as the Phylum and then use the ichnology terminology for the generic and specific assignments. This will allow us to filter all the trace fossils uploaded and work to be more true to the idea that we shouldn’t infer trace maker from the trace.

Does that sound reasonable?
