Jack Kallmeyer has contributed specimen mFeM 49470 to myFOSSIL!

    • Hi, @jkallmeyer, would you be able to add a scale bar to this image? The classification I found on iDigBio is as follows: Phylum Hemichordata, Class Graptolithina (I think it’s a subclass now but it’s okay), Order Graptoloidea, Family Diplograptidae. https://www.idigbio.org/portal/records/4ea852ae-3bb3-4115-ad75-934aa3cdee66

Where did you find your information on the taxonomy? I can work to find some more recent literature but I don’t know too many people working on graptolites…

      • Jen,

I apparently deleted the image that has no scale but am unable to figure out how to add the new one with a scale. As you know the upload image tab does nothing and I can’t remember how to get the photo on the page. I tried copy and paste and drag and drop but nothing works. The taxonomy, at least the genus name, came from Rich Fuchs our local graptolite expert. Also, none of my thumbnails are showing up when I look at any of my specimens on the summary page..I hope I didn’t do that. I’m going to email the new photo to you. Maybe you can get it added.

        • Hm, that’s weird that the drag and drop didn’t work. What web browser are you using? Definitely email it to me and I can try for you. I think the generic assignment is correct, was just trying to confirm the higher order classification.

          • Jen, I am using Chrome. This is the same set-up I used to upload that clam photo right before NAPC. You may recall that the drag and drop did not work for me then either but I was able to copy/paste it. That’s not working for me now. I sent the photo to you via email yesterday so let me know if you didn’t get it.

            • Hm. Okay, please send a feedback snapshot to Max with a description of what is happening because that is unusual. I did not receive the photo from you. Could you try sending it to my gmail? [email protected] my UFL account has been having some trouble.

            • @jbauer Well in trying to figure out how to message Max I tried again. It appears there is a sweet spot of where the mouse has to be to make this work. You can’t just click anywhere and to me this is not clear. I tried a new entry and the box says “drag and drop here” so that is clear. On my existing page the box said “upload image” and the sweet spot was the camera icon so that isn’t very clear in my mind. So now I have the image back on this specimen. If I want to look at just my specimens I use the pull down under my photo at the upper right and choose “Specimens”. In this view all of the thumbnails are gone replaced by a myFossil logo. This may be from my screw up the other day. Any way to restore that? I never did find the button to message Max.
