Cyrus Santiago has contributed specimen mFeM 57743 to myFOSSIL!

    • Hi, @cyrus-santiago – Maybe @fauve-wilson can chime in as an expert and local. Cyrus thinks this is either a lemon shark or possibly a dusky shark tooth – can you tell from the images they uploaded? Talk to y’all soon, Jen

      • Hi, @cyrus-santiago, because of the sediment still attached to the tooth, it is hard to pin point even with a scale bar (thank you for adding the scale bar by the way). If you think that you can wash away some of the sediment, we may be able to get it down to specific epithet, but for now I would put it under the genus Carcharhinus. Lemon sharks tend to have very narrow crowns that don’t project through the shoulders towards the root.
