Dino embryo?
Probably not. Fossil eggs are very rare and the rocks aren’t the right age in MO. You probably have a concretion or nodule which is a round rock form by sediment packing onto a nucleus. The nucleus can be plant or animal (generally like a crab) or inorganic (a few sediment grains). I can’t say with certainty that there is or isn’t animal remains there but if there is it’s probably invertebrate (like a crab).
Did you see all the photos?
Yes. All of the rocks pre-date dinosaurs. There is a chance that it could be a fish but that would require scanning to confirm. Sadly, the preservation isn’t good enough to say what it is.
Hey, @mackenzie-smith, it appears as if the location might have been added by accident. In one of your earlier posts, @karla-g, it looks like you said this came from an auction, right?
Thank you for helping me with this! You are a gem! Excited to send out another photo of bone like thing and find out more from others. Starting to get the hang of this MyFossil app.
Hi, thank you for liking my post!
