What is it? from the myFOSSIL app 4 years, 7 months ago 4 years, 7 months ago4 years, 7 months agoSome recent finds…. The far left find was so rare and out of place from where I hunt fossils I picked it up. At first I thought it could be from a lunar meteorite but most likely it’s slag given I search off a trail that was once a railroad. They only thing that confuses me is that it isn’t magnetic which slag is, it might just be a simple rock.
Hi @ginger-merker, the one on the bottom left is definitely a brachiopod. The one all the way on the right is an external mold of something I can’t quite place. The rock on the upper left is just weathered oddly, as far as I can tell. @mackenzie-smith might be able to help with the ID of the external mold fossil.
@ginger-merker It looks like it could be a couple of things. It could be a trilobite, crinoid or cephalopod. A close up might help 🙂
