Looks similar to the Carcharhinus limbatus @Bill-Heim ID’d last week (https://www.myfossil.org/dwc-specimen/63582/)
Very interesting specimen in that it is a transitional form. Modern upper C. limbatus have fine serrations on the cusp. Earlier (prior to Miocene) Carcharhinids often have an unserrated cusps. This tooth has partial and incomplete serrations. New species’ names have often be determined on such minor details.
Whoa. Are you saying we may have found something new? How is that confirmed?
We would need further specimens and then check all of the literature which for that species is probably very extensive. And after all of this it would have a good likely hood of being rejected as too similar to the modern species.
