Pennsylvania
Hey @dawn-vitale ! That is an awesome find! Looks like an assemblage of brachiopods.
They appear to be Rhynchonellata
in class. Are these another New Castle find?
It is beautiful. I was excited. I live in a hollow and there is a cliff beside my creek that is caving in . So , every time it rains and washes away, I go check out the new stuff.
Yes . New castle Pennsylvania. I’m near slippery rock creek, McConnell’s Mill area
Between new castle and butler
Took a picture as soon as I found it. Lol
Awesome find @dawn-vitale !!! @matthew-gramling is right the brachiopod class is Rhynchonellata. Do you have a smart phone? I would download the RockD app- you can use it to record localities you visit (and it shares other folks spots) and get the geologic age – which helps a lot with fossil ID!
ThanksJbauer . I really don’t go anywhere though. But I’ll keep that in mind
