Hi, @Patrick-Hsieh, this is also an excellent specimen. Is this in your personal collection? When we mark something as research grade, it is assigned a GUID, which stands for Globally Unique IDentifier. This is like a specimen number, but it is universal and allows researchers to uniquely refer to this specimen if they use it in research. Museum collections who digitize their collections usually assign these to all of their specimens, so we can’t assign a separate one as that would be two IDs for the same specimen. So, if I mark your specimens research grade, I just want to check that they haven’t had this number assigned before, which is why I am asking if they are in your personal collection or in a repository.

This is from my personal collection as well. If I were to donate this specimen to a museum in the future, I assume they would also like to know if it has already been assigned a GUID. Would that be the same as the specimen number above (69437) or would it be a different number?
