Charlie Smith has contributed specimen mFeM 74635 to myFOSSIL!

    • Hi @charlie-smith. I noticed that the ID in your notes (Trachycardium) does not match that of the classification of the specimen, Pectinidae. I’m a vertebrate guy, but I can tag in some of our invert experts if there is still confusion over the ID. Let me know!

    • Hi @smoran, the ID (trachycardium) in the notes refer to a bivalve that looked similar to this one based on a photo of some Suwannee Limestone invert fossils from a book. I later realized that it is more likely a scallop shell. The notes on that particular photo are unintentional, and were written as a description in apple Photos. Somehow those notes were passed on to myFossil. I reuploaded the photo without the description to avoid this confusion.

    • Ah @charlie-smith, I see. My first thought was also pectinid, but after looking up some photos of Trachycardium I also found myself second guessing. Regardless, I do think pectinid is the more likely ID. Just wanted to check!
