This is somewhat a matter of opinion, but most now consider I. desori to be analogous with I. oxyrinchus. Some still maintain I. desori for Oligocene occurrences, but younger records like this should probably be assigned to I. oxyrinchus. I agree, I’m just in the habit of putting desori. Same deal with retroflexus and primigenius.
