This rock is very heavy for the size. I can palm it in my hand, colors of rust, brown, army green, but the inside is sparkly almost a lavender color. What is this?

  Hi, @Sonja-Wichern, this is possibly a sandstone or a quartzite, which can both be very heavy.

  Thank you, I’m so going to dive into more research but at least I have a direction.
