Fossil of unknown? Found in my backyard. Near the Pearl River. Southwest Mississippi. #fossil
I have found a few like this in Pearl River County along the Wolf River. I believe it is a type of coral. The ones I have looked like footprints until cleaned. I’ll post pics of mine tomorrow and compare them. Almost all fossils found in that area are fossilized corals.;) hope this helps
I live on a ridge next to the ox bow. I actually mostly find fossilized animal bones and “stones” which I think may be primitive tools.
Thank you. 🙂
I think this is probably a well worn rock and not a coral, but could someone check it out to make sure? @bill-heim @matthew-gramling?
Greetings @daniel-park et al.! I have to concur that this is just a river worn stone.
Hi, all, I agree with @Daniel-Park and @Matthew-Gramling here.
👍TY. I have large collection. I’m trying to sort out what might meet your definition. I appreciate everyone’s comments.
