3 years, 7 months ago3 years, 7 months agoDoes anyone have any idea what animal this molar belongs to? It was found with miocene bone fragments and shark teeth on the shoreline of Westmoreland, Virginia. The deposits come from both the Calvert and Eastover formation which erode from the cliffs here. I think the molar is from an ungulate, but I can’t be certain.
Maybe a horse tooth? Not sure.
Hey@jacob-polzin !!! @samantha-ocon should be able to connect you with someone who can help provide an ID!
