Smudge Smith has contributed specimen mFeM 84183 to myFOSSIL!
brought at shop. not sure where it was found
looks like greenriver to me, and probably knitia eocaena as they are super common, but maybe alta. http://www.fossilmuseum.net/Fossil_Galleries/GreenRiverFish.htm or https://geology.com/articles/green-river-fossils/fish-fossils.shtml have reasonable photos to compare
Info from a fossil wiki, not sure of reputability but I’ll post it anyways: “Their size varied by species: Knightia eocaena was the longest, growing up to 25 centimeters (10 inches), though most specimens are no larger than 15 centimeters.[4] Knightia alta was shorter and relatively wider, with specimens averaging between 6 and 10 centimeters.”
probably alta then. Thank you @daniel-park very grateful!
Hi there @smudge-smith, if you could update this specimens info based on @corinne-daycross‘s comments, that would be awesoem!
OK!
