Hi there @a-trilobite could you update the location information for this specimen to aid in ID? Using the Mancos app or macrostrat.org you can also use your location information to determine the lithostratigraphy and geochronology!
@mackenzie-ross-2 found in Northeast Ohio
@a-trilobite For ID purposes, the more detailed the location, the better! Do you have a city, perhaps? And you can go into the fossil itself to edit and add this information!
@mackenzie-ross-2 It was in a Silurian-Devonian era spot where crinoids are common. What’s not common about this one is the size. Could you help to identify the species? Thanks!
l am slightly dubious of its identity as a crinoid. it could be another similar invertebrate
@leonardo-miranda Such as…
l haven’t the faintest idea. just saying that something about it is not 100% right for a crinoid, but l still don’t know what else it could be
@leonardo-miranda new species??? ?
maybe. no way of telling so far without a better expert
