Fossil worms don’t look 3D like that because they don’t have any hard body parts. They’ll often be a flat impression. Also not a trilobite, wrong shape. However, I have no idea WHAT that is. Sorry!

@chloe-geddes l was thinking it could be a trilobite because it looks almost identical to the rear half of Bumastus, or the illaenidae family. you can search them up and give me your opinion on the matter, as I’m not completely certain.

@leonardo-miranda I have been looking at the bumastus trilobite like you suggested and I see what you mean. However I still don’t see the trilobite shape. This is what I see: The ribbed part, the thorax, is not suppose to be a cylinder like the sample above for a trilobite. A trilobite thorax will generally have an axial ring (the center part) with spines coming off on each side which curled under the trilobite a bit. There is almost always a visible indent where these are connected so while it may be rounded it will not be a consistent cylinder. (If that made any sense! Haha! Hard to explain over messages) The thorax also seems incredibly long compared to the width of the pygidium (butt) for bumastus. This is of course all personal opinion as I am not an expert on bumastus trilobites!

l understand what you mean, @chloe-geddes ! XD it’s complicated to give long lectures on a post. l was also just showing a personal thought, and noticed that the thorax is rather too long. as for the spines and axial rings, either bumastus or some of the illaenids had no indent visible, so they looked like cylinders, or at least half a cylinder as the spikes of course didn’t join again on the underside. not all though. illaenus itself seems to have the indent for example

I have been looking into it, and it seems to be a Paralejurus trilobite.
