Friend calls it the first wheel well half one lol beautiful color goin through this type agate any thoughts

    • not a fossil. maybe @chloe-geddes can tell you what mineral it is.

    • That is amazing!!! How cool!! It’s probably agate based on how it looks and how common it is for tools and such (I’m actually working on an archeology cite where we’re trying to date some rocks gathered to make tools and such. These ancient people were testing different rocks and learning geology!!) Anyways. Looks like agate which is a form of quartz with some water. Quartz is a the mineral and when water is added to its crystal structure it is given all of these other names such as chalcedony( bubbly), agate (banded), flint (grey), jasper (red), and so on based on colours and shape such as banding. The most water rich is opal which is why it is such a soft gemstone. Quartz is also given names just based on colour such as citrine and amethyst. It’s everywhere, it’s is actually the second most abundant mineral in our crust, and everyone wanted to name it something.

    • chole-geddes I was involved in a archeological site. the university of TN came down and did as much as they could before the areas were flooded for a new Lake. we discovered Paleo/clovis, Woodland, and Owl Hollow Indians. it was so neat.
