Interesting but unfortunately, man made objects are not fossils

I have found too many objects identical to this, of all different sizes, in the Sonora Desert to know that they are not man made. The same goes for other fossils/rocks I have seen posted in here that no one seems to be able to identify. I keep thinking that they might be eroded parts of some ancient corals – or – ? There are too many similarities and, like matrices in some cases.
