It has a bony like texture and tiny bit of pyrite buried in it. I found this at Lee on Solent quite a while ago, probably last year, on the spot where I usually find all my mid Eocene shark teeth.

It just looks like a rock, sorry
looks like bone but can’t tell from what, too eroded
it doesn’t looks like bone but maybe bark or other plant material. Maybe @mackenzie-smith can help. maybe just rock.
Rock, bone or wood all seem reasonable. I don’t have a strong conviction on this one.
