It’s something…it was probably round while alive but was disfigured by fossilization. It also has a pattern of holes all along the outside. My ideas are a crinoid stem fragment or a piece of coral, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe @chloe-geddes would though.

Looks like burrfish beak

I don’t see much resemblance with a burrfish beak…

The shape tells me it was some sort of brachiopod or bivalve but the patterned holes seem to be chamber wall within the shell similar to coral have… I am not sure but very interesting! It has defiantly been broken at an awkward cross sectional view but that’s what makes it really cool!
