3 years, 2 months ago3 years, 2 months agoI know it looks like rock. But, I can’t deny the weird shape and size. I found this just now at Brownwich cliff which has interglacial gravels. Which dates to around 100,000 years ago. I though if this could be a fossil it’d be from the bottom jaw of a big herbivore like a straight risked elephant, ancient rhino, or hippo?
Interglacial gravel deposits
Im not an expert (at all), but it looks to me like some kind of vertebrae on the photo. Good luck!
Thanks
Greetings @jack-parker-tyreman ! The shape is unique, but from this photo there is really nothing that leads me to believe this is bone.
I agree with @matthew-gramling there is no honeycomb texture or anything that looks like bone.
