Shark tooth
Wash it out
Sorry, wash it up and then show us
But, there’s definitely a shark tooth in there
Very interesting because I live in Worcester. Very far from any sea. Someone said Megalodon tooth.
Worcester would have been a sea at one point. So that’s how that shark tooth would have got there. I doubt it’ll be a Megalodon, but wash it up extract the tooth (if it’s stuck to something don’t) and show it too me. Then I can see if I can determine what species of shark it’s from or someone I know will 👌👍
By the way I live on the South coast and I find shark teeth from the mid Eocene all the time.
The shark teeth that have been found near the area have been dated to mid Cretaceous (101-113 million years ago), so I reckon your shark tooth is from the Cretaceous?
Maybe I am missing something due to the dark picture, but I do not see a tooth in this.
@bill-heim can you not see the orange root and tip
Clean it it’s a shhark tooth then post it when clean
I’m not sure about this being a shark tooth. a better picture with the specimen cleaned up will help a lot.
